Lemonade Scones

Pastry/chopping board

Round cutters

Mixing bowl

Pastry brush

Ingredients
​

½ cup cold lemonade (not diet)
-
½ cup pouring cream
-
¼ cup caster sugar
-
2 cups self-raising flour
-
½ cup sultanas (optional)
-
Pinch salt
-
Egg or milk to glaze

Method
​

Pre-heat oven to 220C. Line baking sheet with baking paper.

Measure out all ingredients and mix together in a large mixing bowl.

Turn mixture out onto a lightly floured pastry/chopping board.

Very gently press the mixture down until it is approximately 3cm thick – do not roll the mixture.

Use a round cutter to cut out scones and place on baking sheet.

Glaze with egg or milk.

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and allow to cool.
